 Rob, when I fell and injured my knee 3 days prior to the ITF tournament in Fiji I didn't think I stood a chance of getting it right in time to compete. Especially as the physio told me to ice it for 2 days before treatment could begin. That would have meant starting treatment the day I was meant to fly out.
But when I realised that walking was near impossible, I could understand that there would not be any way I could be better in time to play. I contacted you to see what you could do, more to help with the pain, having given up hope of playing, but what you performed was nothing short of magic. I just wanted to write this note to you to say "Thanks" Without your care with the injury, and dedication to me, and the fact that I was already having treatments, and as such had a balanced body, and had healthy muscle tissue, you were able to get me there. Not only could I play, but I was able to get to the Semi's in the singles, and WIN the doubles. This is a victory that I share with you. Had it not been for you, I would never have made it.
