In May this year (2005), I started experiencing pain in my left wrist.  As I had not injured myself I couldn’t understand what could be wrong and thought that it would go away on its own. 

After 4 weeks of increasing pain levels I decided to have it investigated as it was affecting my ability to do everyday things. The pain had become so severe that I was unable to open jars, make my bed, blow dry my hair or put any kind of pressure on my wrist. 

In June this year I was diagnosed with RSI, or tendinitis, as it is medically known.  I was prescribed rest, anti-inflammatory tablets and cream, and referred to a physiotherapist for treatment.   I was receiving ultrasound, massage and doing stretching exercises, with only a small improvement, for approximately 12 weeks. 

I became aware of Bowen therapy after a conversation with Rob Sinclair from Sydney Muscle Care and decided to give it a go. 

The results were nothing short of miraculous. 

 After just two sessions my pain level had reduced so significantly and my range of movement had increased 10 fold. 

After a further session I was declared fit to return to my pre-injury duties. 

What I loved most about Bowen therapy, apart from reducing my pain and the quick results achieved, was how gentle and painless it was.  For the conservatively minded there is also the benefit of not having to be undressed to have it done. 

I have been singing its praises ever since and recommending my friends, colleagues and clients to Rob at Sydney Muscle Care for treatment.
